Im currently driving a slightly mod'd 2000 GT. When i graduate highschool my parents offered to put a nice down payment on a slightly used 2001 Cobra for me. I guess i am wondering if i should take this deal? or try to get a different car out of them If i got the cobra, it wouldnt be stock for long, im just worried about trading one car for the same car, just as fast just different rims ect. what should i look into? Any help would be awesome into making my decision, thank you

The same car?? how is your 2000gt the same as a 2001 Cobra?
I'm actually making the same switch pretty soon here myself.

Maybe just have them give you the $ and supercharge the GT?
Sure, it's a Cobra, but you'll probably lose a lot of $ for the swap... Might as well just supercharge the GT.

Thats what i thought, its a Cobra. I also want to have a new beginning in the Manual world, my GT is automatic. Im not allowed to Supercharge my car while under my parents roof, completly understandable not wanting my dead at 17. So i figured a nice exhaust, 4.10's and some cams in a 01' cobra and ill be set for a while Just seeing what everone else thought

your GT is not just as fast as a Cobra. There is more to it than just the rims. The Cobra will have more potential and be faster stock as well.

Just make the GT a whole lot faster than a stock Cobra for prob. less money than the switch. Unless you always wanted a Cobra

Boy that's a tough choice a GT that you see every few miles or an high power 320hp 4v that is rare and a limited edition car that's fairly had to find and almost never seen

Will you can guess my choice, You may want to give the Mach a look it's newer and is a steal for 20k or so for an 2003..............2 years and there history with fewer than 15k made.
