Hey Guys. New to the forum(as a member anyways). I have a later model 2001 mustang gt with an automatic, 49000k miles. I am tired of this thing shifting like a lincoln town car, it's a mustang!
I need some help concerning the jmod, I know I can do it, but I really need some good concrete information. I've read a bunch of pages, even "transmissions 101" at TCCoA, ,but it seems like that is all old, newest instructions on there is for a 1997.? Is there any reason to do a accumulator piston kit, with lower miles? Does anybody have experience with the jmod kit from www.bcawebstore.com? What about the instructions that come with it? I got the car at 37000 mile and it was actually grandma owned before me, the trans hasen't been beat up by me except when my sister wanted to take our cars to test and tune night a few times. I have installed a trans temp gauge and a cooler already. Any recommendations for a bigger cooler? My trans still runs 180+ on a moderatly warm day. Summer car only.
