2001 GT Rear Differential Gear Kit HELP

What had been wrong with the 10 sets ? All ford 8.8 gear sets should be interchangeable from 85 to 2014. If you have the S clip then its traction lok ( limited slip- posi traction ). Some people and places send a thicker S clip to apply more pressure on the clutch pack inside the carrier. The gears the S spring holds are called spider gears. There is an order of clutch rings, spacers, and measurements involved. If unfamiliar with setting it up then it's best to order the whole traction lok already assembled. When replaced you will need to check ring gear pattern and shim accordingly if needed.

The spider gears always only came with a carrier assembly from Ford IIRR
Unless you are going racing, then the 31 spline stuff is available
The side gears were available with some clutch pack kits
Those spiders in the 31 spline side gear kit are probably the same as the 28 spline ones?

They're the same except the spline count in the center.
