What is the proper wheel offset for a 2001 Mustang GT. I want to put on some Konig Imagine 18x8.5. The stock backspace is 5.72". I believe I have narrowed it down to about a 22-24mm offset. Does this sound right?

Thanks,
G. Sharp

stockers are 24 i'm almost positive. If you are getting 18x8.5 i'd ideally want 26mm at least on the offset, but 24 would be fine.

Also check out ADR Sport 18's

I just got my 01 GT and would like to put some nice looking wheels...being a total newbie...can some one explain what "offset" means? What is the largest stock size I can put on.

OK, OK I guess I am not allowed to ask stupid questions.

I did find this site that was helpful.

http://www.usacomp.com/Offset.htm

I guess you could really answer any question with .... google.com.
