2001 Mustang GT 4:11 gears

Monday i'm picking up my new mustang, and I was just curious about 4:11 gears. some people have suggested that 4:11 gears may be to much for regular everyday driving. Does anyone have opinions?

BTW the car I'm picking up has a 5 spd 4:11 Gears, Long tube headers with chamber box, aftermarket springs, short throw shifter, SCT tuner, and a cold air intake if this make's to much of a difference.
 
It's possible that you won't see the best gas milage you can, 3.73's will be marginally better but the biggest difference will be with your right foot. I have noticed more swings in gas milage than stock (I have 3.73's) but like I said, the difference is in your right foot. Stock gears are 3.27's btw.
 
alright thank's for the replies, gas mileage isn't my biggest concern, I was more worried about the rear tires breaking loose alot more, another question should I run premium gas?

Tires will break loose a bit easier, just get a feel for the car before doing anything too crazy and you will be fine, these cars arn't monsters but they might be more than you are used to..? As for the premium gas, if the seller has the SCT tuner make sure you get it with the sale of the car, the tuner is 'married' to the car, although they can put the tune back to stock and leave you without a tune and now without a speedo that will read accurately. If its tuned I would say nothing less than 89 octane. You can change that how you want with the tuner but it all depends on the timing and a/f ratio.
 
I've got 4.10's and "rather newish" 275 tires out back and I easily break loose without really being too aggressive. If I hammer the throttle then the tires really light up. Like ahall mentioned, you just need to get a feel for how the car reacts and you wont have a problem.

As for MPG's, I hardly do any highway driving so I haven't noticed any difference in that department.

As for the fuel grade, it depends on the tune you have. SCT tuners come with 3 different optional tunes with each tune requiring a certain octane of fuel. I have the SCT 93 octane race on mine so I have to use 91-93 octane minimum. Also, as ahall mentioned, make sure you get the tuner with the car!
 
Thanks, Ill be sure to get the tuner, I think I should be able to handle but the roads get icy up here, and my back up is a v10 F250 (2wd) so I pretty much need this to be my daily driver.
