So these came up I figured I had an o2 sensor out but what is an o2 sensor heater? Also can you delete the egr on the 3.8 or will that effect fuel mileage and performance of the engine?

For the O2 heaters it's either the O2 sensor itself or the wiring to/from the O2 sensor.
