2003 hood on a 1999 svt

I have a 99 svt and would like to install a more aggressive hood. Has anyone ever tried installing a 2003 cobra hood on a 1999 or 2001 svt cobra, and retain the original bumper? Svt says it won't look right because of the different uprights on the the 2 bumper covers. Any imput appreciated.

Not sure exactly what the problem is, but the differences between the 99 and 03 front bumper create a fitment issue. There have been a couple of threads on it and from what I do remember you can't fit a 03 front bumper and a 99 hood with out modifying the bumper so I assume there would be an issue the other way as well.
