Ok, I was thinking about this, being a drag racer at heart. Does anybody think it would be possible to take a brand new 2005 GT with an automatic, because autos can be faster than a straight drive in a drag car, if everything else is right, at least they are more consistent anyway, but enough with that. Do you believe it would be possible to take a bone stock auto GT, put 4.56 gears in it, maybe some sort of traction bars, small slicks, and get one of those computer programmers when they come out, you know they will come out eventually. But with just these minimal mods and maybe some lightweight skinny wheels on front and drag wheels on rear, do you think this car would run in the mid 8.50's in the eighth mile, and 13.20's in the quarter? Given the car's horsepower, and the fact that there are cars with a lot less horsepower running faster than that, do you think it will be possible with the 05 GT?
