well i had heard at one point that saleen had nothing coming soon on the 05' stang, but i have since read recently that saleen indeed is on track to release the saleen mustang on or about the same time as the mustang. any word on this or sneak peeks from anyone? does the SCOA have any info on this?

Actually, I just talked to Liz at Team Saleen about this very issue. She said that they are in "black ops" regarding the '05 Saleen. However, it will be displayed at the September show.

Speaking of which, anyone planning on going? The SOEC is having a driving event and show the 16-17th. My wife an I are planning on going. I think it will be a good time to check out SOEC and tour the factory. Also, want to get Steve to sign the car...

As of yet, I am not real impressed with SOEC. I have e-mailed them several times and left messages on the club's voice mail but have yet to get a reply. What is up with the Saleen clubs? I planned on going to check out Saleen Club of America's April event in SoCal, but it ended up being a bust. In all fairness, it was the same weekend as the 40th in Nashville, but still... I can't believe that there isn't a more serious following for this limited production car. I've been reading and collecting all kinds of Saleen schtuff! Heck, Ford Truck World seems to be a lot more excited about being F-150 owners...

Hi Sal,

You are correct that the SOEC Driving event is on Friday the 17th and the show will be held the 18th. I'm sorry if your emails didn't get a response. Feel free to email me directly anythime at [email protected] and I can try to answer your questions that you might have.

As for the '05, I can't wait to see it....

It is my understanding that there is an 05 Saleen, and that will be at the Saleen show. It will also be at the SEMA show in Vegas Nov.2-5th I can't imagine that there wouldn't be one since Saleen did that sweet yellow and black 05 GT-R concept. I'm thinkin hmmm I bet it looks a bit like that...
:nice:

Sal,

Yes, the changes in plans to the Saleen Fest West were quite unfortunate. We fell a little short of the 40 required RSVPs in order to hold the original plans. The Club would have had to front $4,000 to make the needed reservations, and would have put the added costs on the members who came, or on the Club itself, and neither seemed like an optimal solution at the time.

The Saleen Club of America is growing every week with new members joining, and we look to be the premier Saleen club for both the Saleen owner, and the Saleen enthusiest. We are coming off a great SCOA National Show, with 48 Saleens on display, as well as 75+ other Mustangs and Lightnings on display- Quite a view! We just had another event in the Rocky Mountain Region which featured 14 Saleens. We are only a couple weeks away from our Saleen Fest Midwest (in Indiana) and are expecting a turnout of 30+ Saleens.

We will be attending the Saleen Inc. Show in CA next month, and we encourage you, and the others to come out and meet us, and learn about the Club.

Below is a schedule of what we have in store for the weekend, and we will start a new thread when we have the plans worked out with the restaurants, so that we can name them all.

See you in September!
