Hello. I installed a new spectre intake in my car and took it for a drive right after and no problems or engine lights. The next morning on my way to work the engine light came on. I cleaned the filter with spectre and the light is still on. Any help?
the most basic answer I can give you is-it's sucking to much un metered air. And Yes.. you can fix it lol
I'd start with the intake tube you installed, did it have a provision for the tube with the quick connect on it?
Are the clamps tight?
the filter that came with your specter kit - was it pre oiled? When you cleaned it did you put more filter oil on it?
I'm betting the Mass air flow is coated in oil and not reading correct air flow-id clean it,and not oil the filter anymore
Yes I'm thinking there's either a leak or all components haven't been attached. Check the hose and clamp to the air tube. Is everything connected and secure as it should be? Check all seals and make sure everything is tight. That's what I would suggest.
