Your talking a $20K+ difference here, the cars aren't even in the same league. The car is built with carbon fiber body parts to save weight and you’re paying for it. A Z06 is pretty much an exotic but can out perform all or most of them. The GT500 was not built to compete with the Z06 or Viper, it was more built along the lines to compete with the base Corvette ($45K price range) which it dose very well. I always laugh when I see the car put up against the Viper and Z06 when both those cars cost substantially more money and are more of a Sports Car. Sorry but a Shelby is still a Mustang, which is a pony car, not a sports car.

I have been debating what to purchase this year with my bonus it will cover either car and going into a dealership and paying cash for a car is tons of fun.

While i love the GT500, the thing still weighs ONE THOUSAND POUNDS more than a Z06 with the same hp numbers.

First I don't think your allowed to post things for sale in TALK.

Second who would buy a Shelby for 10k over when you can go anywhere and get one for 5k and even some are selling for sticker? That would have been a good deal 6+ months ago but with the way Shelbys are selling now that car will be sitting on your lot for a long time if you don't deal and do it quick. The Markup on these cars is dropping VERY fast sell that car to the first person who offers you anything over sticker.
