Is it just me or does anyone else NOT like the way the 2010 Mustang looks?! The rear end looks horrible! It looks way to rounded and the bottom of the rear has that black plastic like the newer GTOs. I dont like it all, just my opinion. The rest of the body is ok, dont really care too much for the interior either. I guess the good part about it all is, Ive been seeing a lot of 05-07 gt's selling for great prices. Might have to pick one up to play with in the near future.

I love the new car, it'll look awesome with a few simple mods(like all mustangs do)

The drift car on the Speed TV show tonight looked wicked, imo. I'll be waiting for the 2011 car to see if the 5 liter is brought back like everyone is saying.

Every single new body style that i've been alive for always has a group of haters. Then somewhere in the future there's those same haters who change their minds. People are just now coming around to the '94-95 cars.

I'm still out on the tail lights but the rest of the car is dead sexy IMO. As usual, the wheels kinda suck and it needs lowered but that's a given from Ford.

enh. Its what the 05 shouldve looked like in the first place, imo.

my biggest complaint is that theyve shot themselves in the foot with what to do once the S197 gets old. Move on repeating history and do a 71-73? Then a mustang 2? Or go back to what they shouldve done in 05 which is continue altering the new edge (imo)?

Also, it is my understanding that the "5.0" is not the new windsor-based crate motor/block, but a bored 4.6, aka the "5.0 Cammer" in the FR500C/S/whatever. If this is true, then the 5.0 is not being "brought back" since its never been in a previous mustang before. Its just Fords ultra-typical attempt to make money off of nastalgia and it annoys the hell out of me. I mean, is there any greater way to say "we cant think of anything new and our new stuff isnt cool enough to be its own entity"? I roll my eyes at every mustang mag with some GT500/GT350/Boss/Mach/whatever knockoff. Nobody is orignal anymore.

They should bring back the '94-'95 SN95 bodyshell (IMO, the sexiest shape of Mustang ever made) and put the 5.0 Cammer engine in it. It'll still be a five-o but with 420hp it'll scream.

what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no if anything bring back a variation of the 1979-93 bodystyle.:D i watched speed channel last night and i liked the presentation i work in prototype so i was excited to see it finally revealed to the public.it is a beautiful car that i may have an interest in purchasing in the future.

here is a link to a car that will do little to drag ford out of the gutter it's sitting in now.

After finally seeing the pics, I've got to say I like it. Kind of like a more aggressive version of the original S197....and we all know how well adding a little bite to an existing design works. Look what id did for the ’86 to '87 Mustang GT, or the ’98 to '99 Mustang GT?

I agree that it won't be pulling Ford out of the hole its dug itself in, but since when has any sports car done that for a company? It's econobox's, Minivans and Pick up Truck that are often the saving grace for the big three.

Well, it was the emissions thing that caused the '71-73+ styling, not to mention the '70s in general, so why would you think that would repeat itself today? Maybe now they can continue on with what they would've styled the '70+ models as, only with a modern twist.

Ya know it's that whole double edge sword. If Ford came out with some radical new Mustang that was totally different, people would say they sold out or that it wasn't a true Mustang. When they draw on their roots, people blame them of recycling old legends to make money and call them unoriginal. What's the "right way" to do it then?

IMHO the 2010 is dead sexy. Fixed everything I didn't like about the 05's. The front end lower, the foglights in the grill actually look like they belong (as opposed to an after-thought on the 05). The rear glass is longer/deck lid shorter. C-chanel down the side. The character line of the rear fender raises up after the doors. I think they nailed the interior, too.

With all the problems I'm having with my fox, I would be very temped if they do come out with the new 5 Liter.

4V/cyl, 400hp/375tq, and a 7000rpm redline sounds fine to me.

A few small changes. I hope it will grow on me because I'm just not feeling it.
What's bad is the same small power and a bigger pricetag. If you try to make real power with it, you void a brand new warranty.

A beeter option for me would be to go with a used 07, 08 or 09 and modifying it so imports, Dodges and Chevy's won't be handing me my butt all the time.

Fords going balls to the wall and taking the GT stang up to 315 HP :nice:
That ought to get the job done against camaro's v6 sporting 300 hp:rlaugh:

I think its bad ass.

My only problem is I'd have to wait until its 20 years old before I buy one. I'm the kind of person who can only have a classic or the newest of the new. When you buy a car like that, by the time its been out for a couple years, its old news and EVERYBODY has one. Kind of like my '06 Fusion, haha.
