if some bone head at ford is even considering a 3 bar chrome grill for the stang they should be shot. If you haven't seen the spy photos of the new f 150 it looks like the old one except this big fat chrome grill. I don't mean to get down on chrome but come on a taurus? Any body elses' thoughts on chroming up the front of the stang?

I've heard that could happen and agree it is a stupid idea. Ford has had some really crazy ideas over the years. At one time Ford prohibited anything other than a Ford emblem on the front grill. It took lots of arguments to get the running pony back. Then again Ford once wanted to kill the Mustang. Where would the company be today without the car.
Ford needs to clear its collective heads. Hondas and other such cars with V6s have more options and almost as much horsepower as our GTs. Ford has made progress but still has far to go.

I HIGHLY doubt it will happen. While Ford may feel the need to give all their cars the same grill to build brand recognition, they know there's certain things they can't do to the Mustang by now. That is one of them. I have no fear. The grill on the 2010 isn't really any different sized than the Cobra grill. There's no way anyone (at Ford or otherwise) could think sticking a 3 bar grill in there would look good. Have no fear.

While many auto makers put similar noses on their model line, Ford and the Mustang have been quite unique. Take for example the ugly 3 bar grill on most the car/truck/SUV line at Ford now, yet we have the black plastic honeycomb Tis just one reason I could never get into the looks of the latest GTO, I mean Cavalier, no wait, is it a Grand Am???

I agree with the fact that they shouldn't put it on a stang (probably wont)

But i really like the 3 bar crome grill and i think it really dresses up the ford product line, and creates almost a signature. Kind of like BMW with thier split grill on ALLLL models
