I have a 2011 5.0 with about 7200 miles on it. I went to about 3400 miles before the first oil change, and it used no oil. I used Mobil 1 Synthetic at the first change, and for about 2000 miles, it didn't seem to use much or any oil. Now, in the last 1500-2000 miles, it has started using, and I have had to add oil twice in that time. Most of those recent miles have been easy highway miles commuting (so easy, that I've been averaging around 30 MPG).
Are other new 5.0 engines using oil like this? I've never had a car that did this before.
