I was looking at installing the 1.5" Ford Racing lowering springs and had a couple of quick questions in case anyone here has some experience.

I know that to fit the 2011 GT, the M-18183-C strut mounts (or similar) are needed. The Ford Racing (and AM) also list the M-18000-A damper kit as a requirement. My dealer would be doing the install (have a deal on the labor and alignment negotiated), but claimed that the dampers wouldn't be needed. If this is the case, I'm more than happy to save ~$400, but was that information accurate?

For reference, the FR springs: Ford Racing Performance Parts

I just installed the Eibach Sportline lowering springs (1.3" front/2" rear) this past weekend without new struts/dampers. Eibach claims that they are not required for lowering, and I haven't had any trouble what so ever.

My springs are from Steeda. No aftermarket dampers.
I feel my ride is fine.
I will say, even with the Steeda billet lower arms. I still have a wheel hop issue.
With 400 hp, when the roads & tires are cold wheel hop is terrible. And im not even talking about purposely trying to spin the tires.
I purchased an adjustable upper link and am going to buy lower relocation brackets that should take care of the problem.
I at least suggest relocation brackets to correct the lower arm angle after lowering.
