I am going to remove my calipers to be powder coated. My question is how hard is it to clamp the rubber line to stop fluid from leaving the system? I would assume I won’t get calipers back for at least a few weeks...I did buy hose clamps but the lines seem to not really clamp tight but maybe I just need to open bleeder valve so there is room in line to close completely?

Brake hoses should never be clamped. It can damage the inner structure of the line. The proper way would be to disconnect the hard line and cap the metal line off. Sometimes a brake bleeder cap will work...I usually use a small vacuum line cut down with a small bolt in the end. Works like a charm.

If you're going to do that, do yourself a favor and replace the clutch line with a solid one or braided stainless line. You won't regret it.
