i put the cart in front of the horse on this one, already got a 70mm bbk tb, 75mm pro-m ma and fms 24# injectors. these were intended for my 306 build. ive almost changed my mind and i may do a 331 (pay no attention to my sig...it changed weekly ).

this is a 1/2 good idea of my setup:

afr 185s, tfs intake, 70mm tb, 75mm ma, 24# inj, cast steel scat 331 kit with srp pistons, tfs stage 2 cam

can i get away with 24# injectors or would i have to get 30s? or would 24s actually work better? hoping to just be able to use the 24s since i already have them and they are calibrated for the pro-m.

i havent gotten a fuel pump yet, im thinking maybe like a 190?

24s work?

thanks

I have a 331 and the 24s work pretty good. I have the Victor Jr. heads so I am pulling in a little more air than you so when I put it on a dyno it ran slightly lean on the top end of the motor. I am running a 255 fuel pump, but if I ever decide to run juice or a charger naturally I am going to have to upgrade. Get a fuel regulator for sure. You will have to get all you can out of the injectors and a stock reg. isn't going to cut it.

With the parts you list you would make more noticeable power up top with 30's, but the low and mid will be negligible. The stg 2 cam slightly favors 24's at an idle (lower vacuum), but nothing extreme.

I would go AFR 205's or TFS TW track heat 205 cnc'd head, 255lph and 24's. forged crank and rods, port matched Holley Systemax ll intake, comp cam XE282HR or XE274HR or the TFS stage 2 cam.

easy 400/400 @ the RW, NA on 11:1 comp and pump gas.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
