I just ordered new rims after I already bought 2 new tires(245/45/17) and I was wondering if they would fit alright on a 10.5 rim? If not I guess i'll just have to send them back to tirerack and get 285/40/17's. The only decent priced 315/35/17 they have is the sumitomo htr but I think I want to keep the same tires I have now, kumho mx's. Or I could just put the kumho asx's on since they are cheaper and I won't have to pay an extra $50 for the new ones. What do you guys think? I don't know if I really want to run 2 different brand tires....plus the sumitomo's tread doesn't look very sporty at all.

No they won't. my 275 nitto drags were streched to helllllllllllllllllll and back on my 10.5's, and were a MOFO! to get mounted in the 1st place. The 315's fit much better (although still want wider). Yeah spring for some 315's...The DR's or sumitamo's aren't that expensive comparably.

Don't do it, the 255's on my x9 rim look kinda gay already. If you're looking at the Sumitomo HTRZ 315's, lemme tell ya, they hook pretty freaking good. Plus they're only $119 from tirerack. Nobody will notice your two different tire brands except for you probably, lol. I have two different tread patterns, Sukmitomo HTRZ out back, and HTRZ II up front.
