25 mm wheel spacers and bullitt wheels.

25 mm wheel spacers and bullitt wheels.
Has anyone used the H&R or Aim or Maximum Motorsports 25 mm or 1 inch spacers on stock Bullitt wheels?
Did they fit or did you have to cut the studs in order for the Bullitt wheels to fit flush to the spacer?
Are there recesses in the Bullitt wheels so the studs can fit in them?
I did a search and I couldn't find an answer to my above questions.

Wheel spacers

I put on the H&R 30mm spacers about 2 yrs. ago on my 2000 GT. The only issue on installation was the factory wheel studs did have to be cut,However only just the "lead in" or non threaded tip needed to be removed. You must install a nut onto the threads prior to cutting to allow "thread align" when removal of nut after cutting. You will love the look once installed. People to this day cannot quite figure out why my car looks so mean in comparison to other stangs at shows. Dont bother w/25mm,go 30 & enjoy. No tire rubbing at all and I am lowered 1.5" Using stock tire size,looks bigger.

wheel spacer

Thanks for the reply.
Does your 2000 GT have the Bullitt style wheels or just the 5 spoke aluminum wheels?
I took off one of my bullitt wheels the other night and they have a recess in them, so I had assumed that the stud would fit into that recess.
Let me know what style wheel you have.
Does the 30 mm spacer put the tire beyond the fender or just even with it?
If you have a picture that would be nice.

I have 1" spacers on my bullit wheels with no clearance issues. The studs did not have to be cut. The only issue that I have had is fender rub, which is chewing my rear tires to hell, because I have 275's all around. Other than that though, as long as you are running stock size rubber, there should be no issues with the studs.

Hey S.D.-Stangman:
Thanks for the reply. I have stock rubber right now, but will plan to go to 275's in the near future. It looks like your stang has been lowered according to your mod list, has it? I plan to go with the 30 mm spacers from Maximum Motorsports, which comes out to 1.18 inches. I have not lowered the car and don't plan to lower it for awhile, so I think I won't have a problem if I go to 275's, I hope.

yes it is lowered 1.5 inches with the eibach springs. Probably a little lower now after a year and a half due to sag.
