255 on front of lowered 91.. will they fit?

i was wondering if 255 40 17 will fit on the front of my 91. it is lowered 1.5 inches. im just worried they will hit the fender.

I have 17X9 Cobra R's on the front of my 89 coupe. I have 245/45ZR17's on them and when I turn really hard like a Uturn they rub very little. You should be fine, If you are worried get a bump steer kit and you will have nothing to wory about. Mount them!!! You will enjoy how it handles.......

its all in the offset, I ran 255/40-17 and 255/35-18 on my 87 and 90 hatch, both with +18mm, no rub at all, but all cars differ, those same set ups on a 93 and 92 rubbed just a little, but nothing to worry about.

when i bought my notch, it was dropped about that much (the top of the wheel was just up inside the fenderwell) and it had 225/55 16's on pony's. a hard turn, and not necessarily locked could get it to rub. so, like happyg said, all cars differ. it may rub, but don't sweat it, it should be minimal

They should fit.

But every car has different manufacturing tolerance and they have all aged different (suspension, wrecks, etc). Thus you may or may not have problems.

I run the 17x9 R58 sized wheel with 255/40s on all 4 corners of my 90. Rolled the fender lips up so that they sharp edges point away from the tire and have no problems. I do have coilovers, Sn95 conversion and tubular A arms keep in mind.

Any 17x9 wheel will rub on the back jacking pad of the stock a arms. install more rack limiters and/or grind the lip off and/or install tubular A arms to solve that issue.
