Alrighty, gotta 03 GT with the mods below, putting in my U/D pulleys tonight... Next two mods will be VT custom ground blower cams from tim, Mac LT's and then a MAF and 30lb injectors...basicly im looking to see where ill be after this, im trying to get my car to about 290rwhp to hold me over til i can get the blower and forged internals..wanna be able to beat a lightly modded ls1 at least.. So will these basics get me to 270 or am i still gonna be short? The other option i was considering was the Patriot heads with the same cams..anyone have any experiance with these heads on the 99+ gt's?

Definetly go with the PI heads and VT cams.. also if you changed out your stock intake manifold.. you'll definetly see 100+ hp to the wheels guaranteed.

N/A you WON'T see 100+ RWHP. I went with SHM Stage 1 P/P heads and their Hot Street/Strip Cam. I also went with 42# injectors. 30# would have been plenty, but later down the road if I build the bottom end of the motor to have a mean N/A car or if I add a s/c I won't have to go back and change them. Anyway, with a Superchipc custom tune I ended up with 56 RWHP and 13 RWTQ. I was expecting a lot more as well but it was explained to me that the displacement of our motors is holding me back. Now if I change to a different piston that isn't dished or if I put a blower on there the gains will be significantly increased.

As for performance mods (add Hp/TQ), here is what I have besides the heads/cam package:
Pro-M 80mm MAF
Accufab 75mm TB
C&L Plenum
BBK Long Tube headers
BBK off road H-pipe
Bullet flow through mufflers
SCT performance chip.
Steeda U/D pulleys

I'm also running 4.10's for gears which actually reduces the numbers being shown on the dyno because of higher friction.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I agree, but i think with some stage III+ heads and cams with a good quality intake, a streetable tune, and the normal boltons i believe you could! I am predicting a 350+rwhp NA 2v GT real soon!

Good luck. The most I've seen is 330rwhp with everything done to it.
Bottom end, heads, cams, intake, LT's, o/r, the works.

I hate the fact that our GT's cant make it over 340hp NA ........i would love to have 420 hp all motor just like my friends 95 camaro that has a 383 stroker.

Don't bother with a MAF, it's a sensor, not a performance part. Upgrade it when you peg the stock one. Which on an N/A car, isn't going to happen.

Doing 350RWHP N/A is going to take A LOT of money. You would definately need a high compression, forged bottom end because you'll need lots of RPM's to make that kind of power. Not to mention h/c/i to handle that.

I think to get those kind of peak numbers, you're going to sacrifice the low end.

One of the biggest problems with the design of the modular engines is the small bore and how it shrouds the valves.

Patience my friends, they haven't even developed an intake worth using for our motor yet, i think within a few months there will be one that might help with this. I dont plan on going this route, but i think someone will! As for me, i just wanna go to about 270-290rwhp
