28 inch tall tires on a fox?

i run 27 inch tall cooper cobras now as my street tires. i looked and it looks like i could fit a 28 in there but it would be close. didnt think it would be wise. then i see pics of stangs with some fat tires and FILL the wheel well up, a guy i know told me you can get them in but hes one of those guys you cant really trust 100%.

so i figured i'd ask, my track rims have 26x10.5 et streets, they hook good but i wanted to get something a little taller to get more of a wrinkle and bite.
thinking about 28x11.5 hoosier drag slicks

what type of LCAs do you have? Meaning are they adjustable? I know of some guys that had to run adjustable LCAs so they could bring the back up to clear 28" tall tires.

my car had 275/60/15 dr's on it when i got it an it looks like the fender lips were "rolled" pretty hard.

26 inch tires will take you into the 9's, you could actually loose time by going to 28's.

i have just basic aftermarket replacment control arms, they arent adjustable. but they work great!

this car came with the 28" tall tires an the 456 gears, but aliate is right too much tire cancels the effect of higher gears.

yah, i may go with 27 inchs tall or something
