Will they work on my 18x9 Roush wheels? Anyone have pics of 285s on a 9" wheel?

My 275's are just fine so i doubt a 285 will be much different. Is it gonna be a drag radial?

285's will be just fine. 315's will go onto a 9in wheel, but that is the max you can go.

Would that bulge out alot? I thought you had to go to 9.5's for 315's

285s will have a bit of a bulge, there's no doubt.
it will make your ass end look beafy.

but in honesty i wouldn't go bigger than that without getting the tire to look too big for the rim.

According to BFG's specs, 9" isn't even within the range of rim widths to mount the tire on. The narrowest is 9.5". The section width of 11.4 is on a 10" measured rim. That means that the tire will be squeezed onto the 9" wheel, making it narrower.

The approved rim width range for BFG 315's is 10.5"-12.5".

I've been told the BFG tires run a lot wider per measurement than other tires, such as Nitto for example. The BFG 285's are about the same width as the Nitto 315's.

The post above about BFG's running wider than other tires is true. 315 BFG's are wider than Nitto 315's for instance.

And for the other question. 315 BFG will bulge on a 9 inch wheel. 315 Nittos won't bulge as much. 9.5 is technically the smallest wheel you "should use". But you can do whatever you want, or whatever is affordable.
