Need new tires for my Cobra, Eagle F1's getting close to dead and they horrible suck.

Only problem is, 275/40/17 GS-D3's are almost impossible to find, so im considering going with the 285/40/17's all around. Anyone think 285 up front is too big and will have a negative effect on handling?

Also, this may sound like a retard question but in the past all my tire switches have been to tires the same size, since the 285's are slightly taller (from what I read) will the speedometer be off at all?

Already have 275's all around, no big problems but like you said on a bad road it can be a handful. 285 gonna be any different?

Is there any reason I shouldnt just have 285 in back, 275 in front?

no reason other than being able to rotate em. wouldn't 285 rub in the front. my 275s do. with steeda springs.

I just got 265/35-18's for up front with H&R supersports. No rubbing, but it tracks a bit. It's not ridiculous, but I sure wouldn't be in a hurry to put anything bigger up front.
