I have to face the Facts, my Side Windows Suck and
DO NOT ROLL UP! Just striped out next handle!
Cant keep a working knob on it.

I've searched for power window stuff for Mustang II and got only this.
I am convinced not many Mustang 2s if any got power windows.

I would try to address the hard sliding window first?

...or are you just gorilla-handing the things?

Yes! I have to! Thats the problem!

I've greased the crank mechanism as best I could, but it sucks.
Window slides on one rod in the middle with no channels at ends.

Looked at kits for hot rods.

Last line says Must have minimum of 7 inches below the glass when window is at lowest position.
Might be able to pull metal off of window bottom to work. IDK
Also it seems to need to go in the same space as factory set up.

Old '77 Mustang 2 and new '81 Bronco .

First I thought I was cutting the new one down to match old length.
Didn't need to though.

Made some 16 gauge plate and welded three studs to match the door mechanism holes.
Here ready for paint and then screwed on with short sharp point steel stud screws.

When I cut and welded em shorter they hit the factory window stops which i wanted to keep functional.
So I welded em back to stock length and they clear.

can see the screws are short as to not hit the arm or crank.

Can see how old wheel is worn.
New set up is different but fit just fine in original track !

Con;

Crank sprocket and motor extend into speaker hole.
This will not be ok to some for sure.
I was able to reuse this speaker ring and smaller speaker and have it fit with this setup.

I bought this button kit.
Made a cut in the vinyl and drilled the door card.
Picked a spot my knee on clutch pedal wont hit, but almost to dash.
Gently screwed it together and made wires follow the existing wire channel.
Fished wires thru existing door wire channel.

Then touched up the trim a little

Also fixed the door locks, the metal one replaces old plastic.

More soon!
