Well... I'm looking to install 3.73's in my 04 GT Vert... anyone got sites for decent prices (that ship to Canada) and maybe a DYI site which gives details on doin this mod? I'd like to do it myself just to get my hands dirty on ma baby
gears are one mod i wouldn't suggest you do yourself if your not experienced. Everything has to be perfect or your gonna have a nasty hum and chew those gears up. Even alot of the "pro's" don't like doing it.
As for installing them, I'm going to have to agree with droptopponynynj (lol @ avatar): if you need to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing this particular mod on your back in your garage. It's doable and in the final analysis not that hard but it requires a couple of special tools, most notably a press with adapters to get the pinion bearing on and off, possibly multiple times to get the shim right. A dial indicator is also a must to set backlash. As he notes, if you get it wrong you'll get noise and will probably hurt the gears.

dont get anything other then FRPP gears. and like others said , Dont do it yourself unless you've done it before many times. I'm installing mine this week as well can't wait
