Hi every one. I just purchased 1 1996 SVT Cobra that has 3 inch wheel studs on all four hubs. The previous owner was running (American Racing Wheels on it for the track) I want to put my 03 cobra rims on 17x9---17x10.5. Do i have to remove the 3 inch studs and put standard size studs in? or is there a way to keep the 3 inch studs and still make it look nice by using open end lug nuts? And if so, what special tools will i need to remove and install the new studs?
Thank you

Thanks

Thank you blackfang ( nice looking cobra you have). I went ahead and ordered the installation and removal tool from C2 racing. I will go with the standard studs and be finished.
Thanks again

Honestly those are a waste of money. You can cut off the stud with a grinding wheel and hammer it out and use the c clamp /w deep socket to pull the new stud through.

Of course you could see if AZ has these tools you can borrow.

3 inch studs

Thanks again. I will cancel that order for the tools, they looked a little weak any way and that removal tool would probably not work on a 3 inch long stud. Grind, hammer, clamp.Sound's good to me.
