hi
i have alot of problems with my engine .
i have 302 motor frome town car 89 efi .
i change this parts :

carb holley 4150 (4776C) and Weiand Stealth + holley red pump .
my head is the stoke e6se .
the cam is COMP Cams 31-218-2
( COMP Cams 31-218-2 - COMP Cams High Energy Camshafts - Overview - SummitRacing.com)
original tappet (roller)
msd digital 6 plus + msd coil + ford duraspark Distributor .
pistons :
Compression Distance (in) 1.605 in.
Piston Head Volume (cc) +3.00cc

when the car in work temp the oil pressure is 25 psi on 700 rpm
and the tmp is 190F

The problem starts when I push on full throttle the engine starts to stutter a bit until 4200
Then he cut off really strong and the RPM not going up .
If I push a little less on gas the engine work fine up to 5000 and then i have explosions .
Rev Limiter is off.

I checked fuel pressure: 7 psi when the engine in 5000 rpm ,
Engine vacuum: 20 mm caspit .
I replace the magnetic pikup , plugs motorcraft awsf 34c , spark plugs to ford racing 9 mm, Distributor cap

What could be causing the problem
If you need more details ask and I will write them

What did you set the ignition timing to ? And don't expect the motor to make power past about 4500 rpms with those heads, cause it won't. They're good for bottomend torque, but that's all. And to do a head swap, you'll run into piston to valve issues as the pistons didn't have valve reliefs in that motor.

ok

I found the problem
My valves not sealing because the springs are weak.
I intend to rebuild the heads
I'm debating whether to rebuild my heads (e6se) or e7te-pa from 351W

What is better?
