302 Question??????

Is a 302 a 5.0 like if i was reading a jegs catalog and it said 5.0 would it fit a 302

Yes and no, it depends on the part. The dimensions are the same for things such as valve covers but starting in 1986 the block was changed to use a roller cam, so the cam and lifters are different. What part are you looking at?

I am looking at the heads from elelbrock

it says
Complete performer 5.0/5.8l heads- 50 state legal
direct replacement for 1982-95 5.0/5.8l with pedestal mount rockers. 60cc combustion chamber.

As far as heads go they use the same heads. Only some had slightly different head to block coolant ports, something to watch for when swapping heads.
