I'd probably do this just to point out that he was lying to me. But then again, I've been told I'm an a-hole.

If the seller is calling you an a hole for pointing out a possible engine problem then it's time to walk. Only other option would be to contact the engine builder and see what he says about it and if this guy thats selling the car is the one that had the engine built
