i have a brand new 306 . It has the following already, Speed-Pro Power Forged Pistons. , Forged, Flat Top, 4.030in (TRW-L2482F ) and an TWS stg 1cam . i want to get as much horsepower out of it as i can. i am looking to go all motor and to have it carbureted. i am looking into 185 AFR heads and a Victor Jr. intake. i am looking to get over 400 HP. but i am not sure of the best way to go about it. any help will do, all suggestions welcomed. thanx

All Motor

You should start with a 331 or 347 stroker block to get those numbers!
If not a blower is the quick answer!

Going to definitely need a different cam. If your looking for a good one look at AFMs cams or get a custom.

Is there an intake that is just as good as the victor jr but will give you the high hp and torque at lower rpms?

yeap you are running such big intake and big heads for a 306 and you are not going to reach at least 6000 RPM's with that cam, your intake gas velocity is goin to be lazzy you should leave heads and get smaller intake like an AIR GAP is the best one for your application and use 650cfm carb like speed demon, the cam that you choose is very good but you whant more power i think you can get stage 2 TFS or comp cams XE274HR.
i dont think with a 306 N/A you are going to reach 400HP's.........

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
