the new project continues... i have a 1995 v6 conversion car. i just bought it and to make a long story short, i didn't bother to look at the rear end. just took the guys word 4 it........why would he lie right. well a king cobra and t-5 out of my fox body later i am 1 wheel peeling and pissed.

what i have
fox 28 spline 8.8 complete
95 7.5 complete
31 spline moutaineer posi chunk
bare 8.8 housing

i was thinking of trying two of the long side explorer 31 spline axles. does anyone know if this will work? and in a fox 8.8 housing? will the 7.5 axle tubes go in the fox 8.8?

can i use the 28 spline 7.5 axles and tubes and change the center chunks?

i have very limited funds right now and suggestions would be appreciated. i think the biggest issue with the fox housing would be the brake caliper location.

The only problem you may encounter is the explorer axles being slighly thicker in diameter. I remember a few people asking about using explorer axles in 94/95 8.8 complete housing and the resposes were no due to diameter thickness and I believe the explorer axles being longer. Not sure how true them being longer is seeing as how they are all 8.8 housings. I havn't heard any one trying to intergrade 7.5 axles and tubes into an 8.8 bousing. Good luck and a TTT for you...
