finally got around to dynoing the car this past weekend. Here are some #'s for ya to browse.

Blue number are the old 306 with the same heads, cam, intake
Red numbers are the 331's numbers

I actually thought the 331 should be putting out closer to 350 at the wheels

Amazing the similarity in the curve shape.

Ditch that mass air meter for more power. It's way too small. An extra 50ft lbs. is real nice.

Whats your a/f? Did you play with timing? I'll take a guess and say if that cam didn't make great power in the 302, it certainly won't work well in a 331. Are the heads 2.02 or 1.90 intake valve?

Dude both those numbers are way low. The 306 combo with the same heads i have and 30rwhp less. SO is the TQ

He might have been too fat if I'm reading the hp chart correctly

Looks like he was dropping the fuel pressure

Cool how the change just bumped the whole curve up uniformly.

I always wondered, does the 331 sound any different than the 302?

Well I would say yea it does but I changed from a pro chamber to a Dr gas X so it sounds lost different to me,I have some videos from the track this weekend that I will post up.

in the 1/8th mile it went 8.10 at 86mph with a 1.7 60'. this was done before we dropped the fp on the dyno.

Well im glad that you have some tuning to work on and hopefully u will get those numbers up. Especially that torque number.
