331 stroker stang?

Damn...that's kinda hard to say but i would imagine you're making a solid 380-400hp at the wheels if it's tuned right...maybe a bit more, and probably should go at least mid-low 11s depending on how the suspension is set up and who's driving it. That's a lot of compression...are you running race gas and has the car been tuned to take advantage of it? Is the suspension stock or...?

See it's funny trying to guess this stuff. I've seen 300rwhp cars running high 11s all day, because they have a dedicated drag suspension and leave the line at 6k RPM and just drive the balls off the car. Then, i've seen 600hp cars run 11s because they're not built for drag or they're heavy or the driver takes it easy or doesn't know how to drive.

For one, being a nice sounding 331 with nice heads and intake, i don't see why it wouldn't make at least 375hp at the wheels...that's pretty typical for a decent 347/331. Considering yours is 12.5:1 and on race gas, 400hp shouldn't be a problem at all. What cam is in it and what does it rev to? That makes a huge difference.

If the car will rev to 7k RPM and you know how to drive and you take it out and pound the snot out of it, i wouldn't be surprised if it ran somewhere in the high 10s if it'll cut a really low 60 foot time. There's really too many variables to make a realistic guess. Some people think it takes 400hp to run 11s and 12s and will tell you 300hp will never run 11s, but i've seen it...so i personally wouldn't be surprised to see 10s out of a car like this...but again, who knows. The only way to really know is to get it dynoed and see what kind of power it really makes and then race it and see what it does.

Wow that's a big cam....that gives you a lobe lift of around 387 so with the 1.72's your total lift should be about 666 if my math is right , unless that 620 lift is WITH the 1.72 rockers (seriously...not making up the 666 stuff...lol). The intake you have is arguably the meanest single plane intake you can run with a carb...it'll flow well past 8k RPM. I'd say your HP numbers are closer to the 450-500hp mark...should be at least a high 10 second car. Any idea how much it weighs? It would still be worth taking to a dyno and making sure the air/fuel ratio looks good with the race gas and to see where your hp/torque peaks are at...that'll tell you where you should shift at.

Eh, i'm optimistic. Get it dynoed and run it and keep us posted
