For the money and what they advertise for flow numbers and such, these don't look too bad on paper. Someone is using them in a build in the Fox section but I haven't heard how they're working for him yet.

Maxx 180 SBF (Sold in Pairs) - PROMAXX Performance Products

The SBF Maxx 180 is an as cast head that beats the competition. Don’t let the size fool you, flowing over 260 cfm, this head makes real power. It puts out up to 20 hp over the competition.

There is also this set, but I'm not sure how well they'd support a 347.

Flotek has bigger heads, but those are their lowest priced. The bigger ones would probably work a lot better:

I have a thread started for this in the Fox forums, you can post in that thread if you'd like, or start a new one. But you might find some info in my thread. I also know that this is a question that has been asked a million times there, so you might do well running a search.

AT Racing World heads? (Or other "cheap" brands...)

So I'm bored and basically window shopping for heads for my 87 vert project and come across these. I'm no where near ready to tear into my engine yet so I have absolutely no need to buy heads at the moment, but for $550 for the pair? I could bite the bullet and make the purchase and squirrel...

Hi guys,
Finally I decided to buy the Eagle Street 347 stroker kit from Summitracing.
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/esp-b16422la030/make/ford
After contacting the Summitracing staff, they mean that Eagle Street is more like a "stock" stroker kit, without forged pistons but with fabric balance and a flexplate included (I have to ask to change it for a flywheel, because I have a manual Tremec T5 gearbox) and the Scat kit it is more for customize it yourself, no balance, no flexplate included.
Do you think also like that? Somebody has this Eagle Street kit?
TIA

A affordable four valve head for a Windsor block would be great. Unfortunately, your answer is the right one.

LILCBRA said:
Flat top pistons with 4 valve reliefs mean that they can be installed in either orientation or side in the engine. Some pistons, domed pistons for example, can only be installed in one orientation. That's what the "4 valve reliefs" in the description means.

Not that they were affordable or anything.....

4 Valve Heads For Your Windsor Small Block Mustang | themustangnews.com

When we saw these new 32-valve head sets for Ford small block Windsor family engines at the SEMA show last fall they stopped us in our tracks.
themustangnews.com

Just for s and giggles I tried the website in the article - they are no more apparently.

You found it. I do not know how many of these heads, if any, made it into production. An article or two like this is all I remember seeing from around then. A build and dyno test article was what I was hoping for before most of the car magazines got the axe.

I don't remember seeing any dyno results either. I remembered seeing some of these articles way back when, but never heard much more about them or seen any anywhere. It would be kinda cool though. I'm sure some jaws would drop.

I remember seeing an article about a hemi headed 302 too - don't see anything like that anywhere either.
