Hey well i thought i would show a couple pics from the engine tear down. Nothing to big. Like i have seen others do i am going to just update this thread with pics as i make progress on the car. These are from tearing the shortblock down to a bare block so i can send it out to the machine shop. A Local shop is going to assemble the short block because it ended up being the same cost as getting all the parts and doing it myself. Should have the shortblock back by next week. Ill post some pics up of it. Then i have to go on vacation so when i come back ill be putting it in the car. Heres the pics.

Cool!

What are you using for the induction package? The stuff from your sig? If so, at least ditch that cam for something good with good valve springs. A holley intake would work good too.

Oh yeah. For now the 1.90 1.60 heads will go on it. Cam will be from FTI so that will be high quality. I will use the Edel RPM but i am sending the lower to TMOSS for porting.

What rotating asembly did you use?

What is the compression?

Thats just awsome man! Dumb question, but does a clean lifter valley always have that brass color to it? What compression ratio are you expecting when its all said and done?

1. Whats the basic specs on the cam? Rpm range?
Its around .590 lift duration in the 220 range and 2k-6k rpm range

2. What rotating asembly did you use?
Its a Probe Rotating assembly
Probe SRS Forged Pistons
Probe Forged I-Beam Rods
Probe Cast Steel Crank
ARP Throughout

3. What is the compression?
With the 60cc heads i have it should be right around 10.15:1 compression

4. Lifter Valley is clean it doesnt really look that drastic in person i think the camera made the color look more drastic.

UPDATE
Well finally got the time to pull the engine out. Holy crap my engine bay is freakin dirty. I guess after 130,000 miles of driving some junk will acumulate in there. Its good to have it out but in the big picture im really not even half way done i have so much cleaning to do and so much work in front of me. Anyway here are some pics.

My Dad standing triumphantly over the motor and tranny we just pulled out

Looking good!

Treat that timing cover like gold as they are super expensive to replace.

2nd on that garage looks like its got some work space.

I am glad my house has a garage...even if its only a single car. It just sucks I have so much crap and no room. Its the #1 reason the bronco is getting sold no space for it . Its going to be another 2yrs at least until we buy a bigger home and its at the in-laws right now...they have PLENTY of room I just hate having crap at others places

Looks Killer man...es muy bueno en chit. I am sure you have plenty of jelous peeps here and around your home.
