All that work you did on your engine bay and you can only see 5% of it. Lookin good though. Glad to see you finally got it finished up for the most part :nice:

I know this. I used every inch of that thing. I still have lots to do.

Urban, I plan on doing a polished FOX TB someday. I am out of funds at this point. Sometime down the road though.

Davin, those are AFM steel/chrome dipped valve covers.

Pops, yes the motor is torquey for sure.

Car isn't registered until Thursday so I can't drive it anywhere really. I did drive it to the gas station today (with 04 plates).

WHAT!!!??? Git yer butt off the puter and START DRIVING that thang!!!!
Joe is an old man like me. After taking it for a spin around the block, we're done with it for a few weeks. Mine has been down for so long, I'm not even encouraged to get it going again...

Joe, the car looks sweet. Your car was always in my top 3 because you had the sleeper look but even with those new wheels, it looks damn good. :nice:

Troy, I will be needing your assistance shortly. I've yet to hook it up yet but after a few hundred miles I will.

Joe, I totally understand. I had the motivation even though it took 14 months but during that time I had another kid plus I was out of town about 90 days this year (work). Honestly I just wanted my garage back. I was tired of walking all around the car. I'm buying carpet today for the garage and adding a fridge (my own Christmas present).

another old guy here.

mine has been down for 2 months now and i was starting to get discouraged too ... i'm getting sick of walking around it sitting there at the end of the driveway (i don't have a garage).

but this thread has given me some hope again. now if only the weather would just cooperate ...

anyway, it looks great and congrats on the successful buildup!

hey way to go i have been waiting for this post glad to hear you got it running the new wheels look great and i can't wait til youhave some miles on it so you can tell us how far it spins those new back tires:banana:

Congratulations Joe! There's nothing like hearing her crank up for the first time, and knowing the satisfaction that you put her back together. I've been down that road, seeing mine in a million pieces wondering if she'll ever run again, then to be able to get it done by your own hand just makes the reward even sweeter :) Get some seat time in there!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm still shocked that I'm not chasing gremelins. Just took for a spin again. Oil pressure is stout, runs at 175 degrees all the time and the idle is rock solid. Not bad for two guys working in a garage on occasion. The front end floats pretty good. I need to get it to Steeda ASAP for an alignment. I start my vacation tomorrow and I'm off the rest of the year. I need to work on the exhaust and clean up the engine bay more. Then it's off to the body shop for a wet sand and polish.

Joe dude, Sorry I missed this post....IVe been looking out for it since last Sunday, but never saw it... CONGRATS!!!

I got an offer for you....You help me with mine down the road next year, and Ill help you out with a little coin to finish up your last couple of details... Also, I got that polished coil cover for you, in case you forgot!!

I have 110 miles on the motor as of right now. I'm going out for another 30 mile spin in a few minutes. I hope I don't trash my front tires. Steeda can't do my front end work until Jan. 9th. Hopefully someone will cancel before then.
