347 in next Tuesday, 302 dyno'd today

I finally have my 347 stroker put together and will be installed next Monday/ Tuesday. I expect to do dyno pulls on the 347 next Tuesday evening. Today, before I pulled the motor. The 302 with 215,000 miles actually put down 206 rwhp and 258 Ft lbs of torque. I wanted to see the before and after. The car still runs consistant 13.90's even with all of the miles but as you see it is still strong for what it is. I expected 190 rwhp or so but was surprised. I can't wait until next week to unleash the beast. I will keep you posted.

Forgive me guys, It took a few more days than expected. I finally got the car on the chasis dyno today. 343 rwhp 340 ft lbs of torque. 441 rwhp on the gas 430 max tq. Grn92Lx-- In a nutshell, Eagle 347 stroker kit, Edelbrock performer heads with RPM 2 intake ,XE 282 cam. BBK headers. 9 1/2 " stall conveter. C&L Mass air, 30 lb injectors. NOS dry kit. Mickey Thompson Et Streets. I could go on......-- I am certain I have a 10 second car now but this thing is borderline streetable. 60 mph and below is fine but interstate driving 75 or so is a headache. Let me know if you have any more Q's. thanks for the interest.

5.0droptop--you running an aod? Most of us southern boys also don't dyno using corrected hp. It was 95 degrees yesterday with 98% relative humidity. I am certain if i had dyno'd in that sweet, cool Indiana air the numbers would have been higher. we don't "dyno race" here. We use it to make sure the numbers are in the ballpark for where they should be and make tuning adjustments. Good damn numbers by the way man; I wish i had your torque! I think something isn't right with mine there (converter or something); still gotta work the kinks out.

I wasnt poking fun at all. Those are great numbers. I have a tremec 3550 5 speed. I have more power and tq there if we would of tweeked the timing and fuel press. But the air fuel ratio was great and I was happy with the power so we left it alone.
