347 intake suggestions (carb'ed)

Hello all,

I searched and couldn't really find what I needed....so any of you carb'ed guys that can help, I would really appreciate it.
I am getting rid of all my FI stuff (TFS-R, 24lbs, cai, MSD, etc) and going with a carb. My setup consists of a 347, XE274 cam, 1.6's, Edelbrock heads, 5 speed, 3.73's....
This car is only a sunny day driver and/or strip car...

Which carb'ed intake would you suggest for this combo. I have it narrowed down to the following:
Ede Performer RPM: Not sure if it will flow enough
Torker II: I know nothing about them, other than Edelbrocks pitch
Victor Jr.: Higher RPM, but no lower...

Anybody running these that can offer pro's or con's?

Victor JR for the track, Performer or Performer RPM are good streetable carb intakes.

i woudl say if its just a strip car go victor jr but if you still do drive it a bit on the street on the weekends.. the rpm.. the torker is a old design.. and the rpm flows better then it does and keeps the low end you want..

Thank you guys...that is the info I was looking for. I was definately concerned about the Victor on the street.

With a stroker you can get away with a Victor Jr. even for street use, unless you're running bone stock heads. GT40Ps work well on the street with a Victor Jr. Personally i wouldn't over look the Wieand Stealth, it's cheaper than an RPM intake and it outflows it both at the top and bottom of the RPM range.

victor JR is too big for your cam run edelbrock RPM air gap (part #7521) and 750 CFM double pumper maybe proform,speed demon, holley HP and if you got money get Da vinci.......
get the air gap with wilson 4 holes spacer to improve air flow velocity!

personally i have issues with the performer series manifolds for fords...i have a 65 stang, built 302 with an old school shneider 288h cam, ported iron heads with 194 160 valves, 355 gears and a c-4 auto. it had an old dual plane on it, a ported f4b, i switched to a victor jr knock off ( professional products) and i swear, i gained power everywhere.....i've had several 302 other that this and used either performers or performer rpms and not been happy with them.....maybe it's just me...only my opinion......
although i can guarantee you though, with a stick, 373's, and a 347, your not gonna be soggy on the bottom end no matter what you run..lol....note- if you have the hood clearance messing with 2 inch spacers can make a big diff with some of these manifolds too..

Yes. The opening does basically the same thing that the Victor Jr. intakes do, that being let air in under the intake runners to help cool the intake. This is the only reason i'd consider one over a Stealth intake, but when i was shopping it came down to RPM range and value. If you ask most hardcore carb guys they'll tell you, probably 8 out of 10 guys opt for the Stealth on street/strip cars. For you car though, i still say the Vic Jr.

i would run air gap or professional products intakes i think is called crosswind a friend has it and he loves it!
