I KNOW I KNOW the subject is beat to death but i just finished the short block waiting to put the h/c/i on and dropping it in. i needed some advice on what i should do as far as: how large of a throttle body, MAF, injectors? should i switch to the a9l computer? just the little things like that. someone with experience please.

here is what i got so far. forged bottom end, 2.02/1.60 ported heads, edelbrock rpm II intake, and i'm still undecided on which cam.

any information will be appreciated

The cam depends on a lot. Gear ratio, weight, goals, heads, manifold, how high you want to spin the engine, etc.

MAF = Pro-M 80. Don't waste your money on the 75.
Injectors = 30 lb/hr minimum.
Throttle body = Switch to a fox setup and use a 90mm Accufab.

hey Joe we're gonna run into each other a lot about the t-body's eh?

I'd say at this point go custom cam, they can line up your valve events better than an off the shelf cam...

ACTUALLY, on the subject of t-body, who's done the 90mm conversion on an SN95 car?? what was involved? did you manage to keep cruise control?
I might make this a new topic..

OH YEAH, I would NEVER switch to an A9* PCM, just get a Tweecer and tune your stock PCM, you have better tuneability, and there's power to be had out of our stock settings..

i've pretty much decided on a custom cam. i'm going with 3.55s or 3.73s still want it streetable, well mainly freewayable. sounds like i was dead on with the injectors and MAF... still questioning the t-body.

tweecer? is it really worth the money? is this something an average joe can use or should you leave it to the pros?

there is a learning curve with tweecer. you play around with it you will learn to do quite a bit though. also, i am planning on doing this swap. i am using a trick flow stage 2 cam with my 347 and am also thinking about going custom.

Thats too big for his car unless he has an 8 second race car. He needs a 65mm tb to keep velocity That was sarcasm if you didn't catch it! I would use the 75mm race TB which is a 90mm opening and 75mm at the blade to it'll match an intake with a 75mm opening. The 90mm should work good if the inlet is opened up for it. I'd use jay allen www.camshaftinnovations.com for a cam. Your rpm2 intake has a 70mm opening so anything bigger NEEDS to be opened up with a dremel. 75mm should be fine.
