This is my future engine. Most likely I'm gonna be forced to sell my hatch this fall for the house we are going to buy. Then I'll pickup a notch in the spring and start over. This time I'd love to go all motor and from what I've researched these motors are super strong with a Steal Crank, Rods, etc. Of course I'll go with some kind of forged pistons. Any suggestions? I've seen some for around $2500 or so. Thanks guys!

Whne you wanna build for sure, talk to Rick, he runs RNH Performance that is in my link below. He will build you a great motor and then you will be happy.... and hes way cheaper than that $2500 from what i remember.

What comes with the stroker? Thanks.

Just let me know what comp you are looking for, pump gas or race gas..and the supporting components you plan on.

The forged motors can either use a Eagle internal balance crank, Eagle H-beam, SRP or Probe Piston, or you can go with a SCAT crank, SCAT H-beam and a Probe piston, both come with H-series bearings as well.

There are many options available, upgraded rod bolts, pistons, ring packages, etc...

Thanks Nate ;)

Okay, I've been in many threads with you before. I'm not good on name brand cranks and pistions. But I would want forged pistons. Isn't steal cranks on most strokers? Not sure on rings either, but I wouldnt' want to spend over 3k. What would you suggest?

watch out for the 347 stroker motor...I have heard that it has had oiling problems....definetly go with the 331...that is what will be going in my 89 GT

You are mis imformed, the oil issue have been solved for a long time now. You can build a 5.315" or a 5.4" rod 347 and if it is properly put together you will not have any issues.

Forged pistons, no problem I wouldn't use anything other then them.

Cranks, you can go cast (safe into the 600hp range) or forged (safe into the 800+ range, recommended for power adder combo's)

I can do either shortblock well under the 3K. Shoot me your e-mial address and I'll send you some pricing and options. [email protected]

I will be at carisle next weekend if you show up look for the vert with the red trible flames on the hood in the modified street class. Its hard for me to get away with 2 kids. I planned this carlisle since last year,
