35 year ols Crager rims!!!

I have a vibration at high speed in my 67 Mustang.........we have balanced drive shaft....wheel balanced...etc.
My suspicion (and that of others) is that the Crager rims (the old style with slotted holes and washers) are the problem.
I have taken them off and carefully put them back on tightening with a hand cross wrench and each time the vibration is a little different than it was before but I can't get rid of it!!!!
Any one still have these rims besides me and does anyone have any answers for getting that vibration under control?!

I have the same rims only new on my '66 with no problems. It is a pain getting them right but well worth it. The one thing I do look for on install is if all the washers are in the same position and angle.
