351 3-BOLT, 4-BOLT DAMPER

i know i need a 4 bolt 280z balance to do the swap but every balncer i find for a 1985 351 is a 3 bolt. can i order a 4 bolt from a newer year and it still fit? and whats the difference between a flywheel and a flex plate? need to know soon guys so spread the word thanks guys
