sorry, i know you guys have probably answered these questions before. i'm putting together a 408, with z304 ford heads. i have new head studs. i'm just wondering what they should be torqued at (ford does not have specs with their heads), and do i use sealant on the bolts like a 302 block?
The 351W has blind holes so you should not need the sealant on the lower holes, but I suggest you use it incase the block has any porosity and that would cause leaks.
Seal the lowers, moly lube on the uppers... TQ to the specs that came with your studs, use moly on the threads, and on both sides of the washers.
