How come you can't put 302 parts into a 351 block? I'm asking because 351 blocks are much stronger than a 302 and was wondering why I couldn't use 347 parts to fit inside a 351 block still? Can't you make a 302 into a 360? Why not 351?

i got a better question. why cant you use 351 part in a 302? i mean according to you a 302 should have the same parts as a 351, right? why then you could put 351 parts in a 302. if 351 & 302 have the same part why not call it a 30251??? :stupid: why would you put 347 part in a 351.. think about it! "killer50" yes those civic heads do fit on a 302 :rlaugh:

Ok so let me get this straight I ask a question and get flamed for it? I never said 351 parts are the same as 302 parts I just asked if a I could use a 351 block. I get flamed for asking a simple question but yet one someone needs help with putting up their exhaust and they don't get flamed. My car is faster than the majority of people on this site but yet I get made fun of for asking if I could use a different block, go figure..
No wonder all these posts have been happening lately with people complaining about the newbie's and flaming people.

the whole block is differnt . only things that are the same are heads and water pump, cam shaft, alternator,ps pump ect...... and we all were newbesies once
dont worry some people are d?cks..
keep askin though youll learn alot here if you listen to the right people

i apologize for the sarcasm, but they are two totally different blocks, it doesnt matter how close they are in displacement, one may have a four inch bore, the other may have a 3.5 inch bore and a longer stroke

chevy 305 and ford 302 are really close in displacement, but uif you look at the geometrics of the engines, its like apples and oranges, ford of course being the better tasting and more delightful orange, and chevy, well.....

ms: yeah it is too bad, seeing that the 351 blocks will typically take more hp/abuse than the little stock 302 castings...but such is life. but if you want a 351 block, y not get one, and build it up :nice: make some cubes and have fun! yes, it's a little more expensive-but you'll make oodles more torque, and with the increased cubes, you'll be able to drive a slightly nastier build than with a 302 or one of it's derivatives.

305? :barf: almost as bad as the 255 that Ford put in cars for all of about two model years...
