That casting number is for a 74 block "D4"
I am fairly sure that all the stock Ford 351w had the same deck height, but there may have been a year or 2 of odd balls.
I know I have the deck heights in my 351w swap FAQ, but I can't pull it up at work.
Check my site if you like, or I can post what I have when I get home tonight.

The very early blocks were a tad bit shorter, '69 and early '70, 9.480" vs 9.503" iirc.
yours should be the 9.503" give or take.

It's a 9.5. I think that casting could be in anything from '74 to '78 or so. That will work fine. It will have a two peace rear main seal, but the two piece are just as good as the one piece. Go for it.
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Off the the machine shop next week. I've got my kit picked out here is a link tell me if it's a wise dession? I'm going to go carbed and run a 150-200 shot on it!

The kit looks to be just fine. The only thing that slightly worries me is the fact that they don't disclose the true manufacturer of the crank and rods. I would assume that they are Eagle, or some comparable brand that manufactures in China and then inspects and touches up the components in the U.S. I would call them and ask who actually makes their rods and cranks.
