Has anyone used a gt-40 lower and a downs ford upper? There are only about three choices to choose from. My 351 made around 400 hp with a carb. Will I loose power with EFI? I want good low end power too.

Made 400hp at what rpm? RWHP or crank? Whats the combo look like? There is probably more 351 efi options then you may think.

I had the trick r lower with the trickflow box upper on my old car and that worked very well. I had a 1 inch spacer on it which made the low end great, didnt pull much past 6k.

We need more info. There are tons of choices for an induction set up for the 351 block. Everything from stock intakes to a super victor efi combo capable of 600 plus horse. What intake & carb were you running before and what camshaft-n-heads? What rpms are you looking for?

It was never dynoed its just a ruff estamate. I do know the car was a full body 91 LX. I think the intake was a Edelbrock Performer RPM,with a BG Speed Demon 750 small dome speed pro pistons. Not sure how much work was done to the heads but the exhaust ports and intake ports on my SVO turbo swirl heads are larger than Trick flow stage III twisted wedge. The cam is a Lunati flat tappet. Not sure the specs, but it sounded rank!

Look up the lunati cam online.

So are your Turbo swirl heads over 195cc on the intake side? I didn't think they could be opened up that much. Do you have any flow numbers?

I think more people could help you if you gave a little more info.
