So I've been seriously thinking about dong the mega squirt fuel injection conversion on my stang when I get the new engine block. I am saving and looking into parts availability hoping to do all this this summer.
I know the stock 351w EFI intakes are supposed to have really low flow numbers and I have high flow everything else so that leaves the cheapest route to EFI out.
I was looking at the Spyder intakes like this one View attachment 424564
since I'd like to keep the air cleaner/carb look, but I don't have to go that route.
Do you think it'd be better to go with a throttle body more like the late models?
I was wondering if I couldn't simply convert my existing Weiand stealth manifold (I'd like to keep it also, but don't have to) to accept fuel injectors. I looked around online and there are businesses that take your intake and install fuel injector bosses, but the average price for that looks like 400 bucks. Has anyone installed injector bosses on an intake? Is it hard to do?
What about something like this? View attachment 424566
A few companies make them. I think Trick Flow has one for about 400. Would hood clearance be a big problem on something like that?
Thanks
