Well when I get back from VB I plan to do the CAI in my car and look into gutting the cats too. Now that this post took it back to car relation. It has been 2 hours and no more post I am ashamed of you all.

Congrats man I always new that you had a screw loose (only one that losened the door screw). It is weird that you are the only one (so far) that has had to do this yet.

so you mount it after the intercooler? What performance is to be gained with that?

lol , closer to the t/b the better the responce and accuracy of the meter..aslo the ambient air temp sensor in the vam see's cooler air after the i/c . It (in theory) should have some sort of affect on the a/f ratio's or the timing...thats what most people believe the sensor does. Little has been proven on how much affect this little sensor has....mostly because only a hand full of people have a blow thu,let alone a back to back dyno comparison.....either way it seems to work great for me....after i fab'd up a simple (out of sight!) bracket, it stopped blowing the vam off

ssssspoooshhhhhhhhh!!!!!! hey man why's your vam sitting sideways. lol

well...It was my understanding the temp sensor in the vam could only aid the timing advance and could not take timing away. So I can see where it would help in theory and for nothing more than a little time I would have given it a shot too. Except Im really scared I'll wreck the good thing I have going now.

The Neon can't hang.

But don't worry, I'll eventually have slicks, upgraded IC, intake, and exhaust on mine...then we'll see how it fares.

It shouldn't take anything more than traction and it will hang. Might not in the 60ft but It'll still be in there.

The best 60' miles cut with that red neon was a 2.2...which is actually damn good for that car. Third gear is where it's at in that car. It's a monster on top end.

No I'm to busy driving around in my turboed car, to care about making a change that may or may not help.
I saw mikes site, and I haven't heard about a big enough advantage yet. I tried to get the car to go fast on rumors and it wouldn't, so I went 100% proven facts.

I have not heard of one person that did this mod that did not LOVE the results of it. And if you have been seeing woodsters post everywhere about his he is another satisfied customer. When I get my motor in the car and running right that is the first mod that I am doing.

well he had to make adjustments to get it to run right and at the moment thats the last thing I want to be doing. When it stops running good on its own then I may do that, but not yet.
