I had the TSB done late last summer on my '03 GT. It feels like it is starting to get notchy again, but now it is in second and third. It was only in second when I carried it in the first time. I was wondering how many have had successful rebuilds, how many replaced the fluid with synthetic after the breakin period, and how many had to go back and get the transmission rebuit again or replaced. I think I am going to try some synthetic before I let Ford mess with it again. I was hoping to get some feed back on what others have gone through with there transmissions.

Thanks,

My tranny has been rebuilt twice. Once for my mistake doing a 3rd gear burn out and second for the idiots who didnt put the tranny together right the first time. Mine shifts perfectly fine, always has.

mine is as stock as the day I bought it. I thought about having the TSB done, but I read a lot of horror stories about things not being better, or worse. I decided not to, because in all honesty, the notchiness doesnt bother me that much. I really didnt want my tranny torn apart if the only problem was how it felt. sure when its cold out i hate it, but after 5 minutes of driving its gone.

Im going to switch to either RP or GM synchromesh and see if I notice a difference. but all in all, the tranny's pretty strong compared to the T-45, and it serves its purpose for me as a daily driver, and hits the track about 2 weekends out of the month. If something breaks, I'll got with a TKO or T-56.
